Day Trip to St. Andrews!! 10th Sept 2011

Organised by the International Students Society, a large group travelled to St. Andrews, a town 45mins by bus. Very old city, the uni is 600 years old! 3rd oldest in UK (tour guide said). Saw the remains of an abbey and a castle, but the weather was not very nice, hard showers every now and then.

Overall I think St. Andrews is ancient (so old everything’s falling apart ><). The streets are bare and old, in need of renovating. The town itself is most famous for its uni and golf, thus beautiful uni buildings and golf courses it has, but I’d prefer Dundee as it has a lot of new and modern aspects incorporated with its old ones.
